Command Reference

In Slack, you mainly interact with the incident.io bot during an incident. You can use the following slash commands to do that:

  • /incident help [command] — show all possible commands
  • /incident lead [me|@user] — make someone the incident lead (docs)
  • /incident call [link] — used to set a call link (docs)
  • /incident close — used to close the incident (docs)
  • /incident {status|state} — used to update the incident state (docs)
  • /incident duration — shows how long an incident has been running (docs)
  • /incident {escalate|page} — pull in others for help (docs)
  • /incident links — search for useful links in the incident history (docs)
  • /incident recap — quickly see a summary of the incident so far (docs)
  • /incident rename [name] — change the title of the incident (docs)
  • /incident summary [description] — update the top level summary of the incident (docs)
  • /incident {action|actions} [description] — create and manage actions (docs)
  • /incident {field|fields|customfield|customfields} — manage custom fields for this incident (docs)
  • /incident {doc|document} [link] — view and set postmortem docs (docs)
  • /incident {severity|sev} [level] — upgrade and downgrade severities (docs)
  • /incident {statuspage|sp} — create and update your public Statuspage (docs)
  • /incident {role|roles} — view, assign and unassign roles during the incident (docs)
  • /incident update — provide an update to others about the incident (docs)
